I’m A Survivor: An Open Essay From The Publisher Dior Fall

I have a chronic illness but, I’m a survivor. My life has changed, my body is weak and my future is uncertain but, I believe in God and trust him throughout all of my trials and tribulations and say to myself, “everything will be okay.” I will not be a victim and I will not be pitied, nor will I nag or beg for attention just because I’m in pain daily. I will get up and go to work and not lay in the bed because then, my body will be crippled.

What can I do to make my life easier? I will make sure I attend all of my medical appointments and try as many medications as the doctor recommends, so that I can get stronger and healthier. I will rise in the morning, after a rough night. My body burns internally, as I walk around like a zombie but again, I will survive. I’m not ashamed or hiding behind this illness, because this is just a test and I shall pass it.

But, I also have a trick for this disease! I put on my makeup, even when I am crying with shaken hands. I brush either my own natural hair or my wig,  even when I am fatigued. I put on my clothes, even when my legs want to fall asleep on me because at the end of the day, I see that I have survived. I make myself beautiful so that I am prepared to embrace each day. It’s like the law of attraction… because I aim to be a survivor, nobody can tell I’m sick!

My beautiful ladies, my first Taboo Talk was about class. The second was about hygiene and now let’s talk about pleasure! All ladies deserve pleasure because we need to be pleased. Whether we are in a relationship or single, it’s a necessary itch that has to be scratched.

Get them any way that you can. Buy them online or from a sex shop. Whatever you do own them don’t ever borrow them and get an arsenal of them and don’t forget to name them.

Ladies don’t be embarrassed to request pleasure. It’s your right and it is okay to fulfill your intimacy needs, no matter your age or life situation. Learn to think positive about intimacy because it’s okay!

A Woman’s Worth: Aim High Girls!

When your self worth goes up, your net worth goes up with it.” Marc Victor Hansen

Hey Divas,

We are so strong, beautiful and classy with great personalities. We don’t settle for less because, we know our worth. Some women question their self esteem, but at 1000 Shades of Women, we are here to give you some tips to regain it fully.

Today’s tip is about physical attraction, which is what draws one person to another. No matter what kind of relationship you’re in, that first glance or flirt is because of one person seeing some physical attribute that he or she likes in another. If the feeling is mutual, the relationship begins with a date and if all goes well, intimacy follows.

As women, we tend to be a little self conscious about our bodies and can be quite critical about our body parts. We like our thighs but, not our stomach. We like our arms but, not our toes. These negative views of our physical selves can make or break our intimate experience with our mate.

Questions swirl through our minds, is he or she going to stay with me after this? What does he or she think about my body? Will he or she find me attractive afterwards? In order for our intimate experiences be pleasurable and hopefully long lasting, we as women must be at our best for a desirable outcome.

Apart from our outwardly physical beauty, we must be well groomed. Our nails, earlobes, belly button, our breath and vagina should be well cared for. Body odor can be avoided by cleaning oneself. We know when a smell is offensive and when it is not. It is our responsibility to take care of ourselves through good nutrition, exercise and good hygiene. In doing so, we are putting our standards high and should expect the same from our partners.

#WCW Woman 2 Woman

MOTHER natureWhy we do love each other? Why are we back stabbing each other? We are not competition girls, we are empowering women. It doesn’t cost a thing to compliment one another.

Friends, family, coworkers and others, let’s just learn to love, respect, and value ourselves. Why can’t we acknowledge a compliment by saying, “Thank you.” Instead of saying thank you, you’d rather say, “I’m old, I’m fat, I don’t feel it,” or “Are you mocking me?” I’ve even heard someone say, “Did they pay you to tell me that?”

We need to take our self esteem back and stop the negativity within ourselves and others! Build powerful woman to woman relationships. It is okay to gossip but, do it in a positive way
and empower your friends. Let’s make beyond the sky our limit, because it’s too
big for us to squeeze. Let’s teach humanity and help the other genders recognize the
power of a woman.

Helen Keller once said, “When we do the best we can, we never know what miracle
is wrought in our life, or in the life of another. “

Confidence Is Key

Confidence is the most attractive gift a woman can possess. If you don’t
have it, you will feel equivalent to an empty bottle.

The first element to gaining confidence is to have profound faith in the higher power.

Secondly, you must love thy self. A trick that I do, is to look at myself in the mirror and say my name and to praise myself by saying out loud, “I am beautiful. I am amazing and I can conquer the world! I am successful!” Say it with confidence when you are praising yourself. Learn to value and believe in you!

Wouldn’t it be powerful if you fell in love with yourself so deeply, that you would do just about anything to make yourself happy? This is precisely how much life loves you and want you to nurture yourself and if you believe it, the universe will affirm your worth.

Once you learn to do the things I have shared with you, you will begin to enjoy a lifelong love affair with yourself and I promise you, it will bring you the richest fulfillment from inside out!

Author Alan Cohen wrote, “Let’s stop running for our self, lets unfold our own myth, let’s
count our blessings and shake the wold with our greatness.”

Be Your Own Kind Of Beautiful

Be your own kind of beautiful. I have a big belly and I have pimple on my face. The edges of hair is thinning, my butt is flat and I have a chronic illness, but do you know I’m the most beautiful woman in the world?

I’m not lying to myself, I am merely validating myself. I am sure that I have a pretty heart and a pretty soul. I’m bold and I’m classy. I am an independent woman with high self esteem.

My smile is my best secret and I invoke power, which is my weapon. My personality is my
success. So here is a tip…Always be yourself and have faith in yourself. Block any kind of negativity, especially self hate and self doubt. Ignore negative comments from others and always walk with your head up!

Be graceful and bold because you are a beautiful Queen! Never look back my Queens. Had Cinderella gone back to pick up her shoe, she would not have become a Princess!

“Taking joy in leaving is woman’s best cosmetic.” Rosalind Russell.

It doesn’t matter your age, how much money you have in your bank account, your marital status or what you do for a living, we all want to be more successful in our lives.
